A golf-and-beach corridor on Banderas Bay, between Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerías.
Flamingos sits on the same beach that runs from the Río Ameca to Bucerías — a strip of hotels and condominium buildings backed by an 18-hole golf course, with the Vejiga, Quelele and Cortada lagoons just inland. It isn't a town in its own right, and it isn't Nuevo Vallarta or Bucerías: a beachfront-and-golf development between the two, closer to a residential resort than to either neighbor's town center.
Day to day, it runs on the beach and the course rather than a plaza or a market — condominium living alongside hotel guests, not a place built around walking to somewhere else.
